ABC Shoulder Tote Bag
Design Inspiration:
The ABC tote was inspired by the traditional ABC letter bags that kids used to wear at school in Colombia when I was growing up. The simplicity and playfulness of the ABC letters always stuck with me—it was a fun way of showing other kids that learning could be enjoyable, and that you have to learn the basics before going deeper into a subject (at least that was my "romantic" interpretation at a young age).
The front of the tote features the letters ABC set in Chosmos, the most recent type release by Typozon.xyz. Underneath, it reads: "Shapes aren't meant to be perfect, but to carry a soulful bent." This line clearly reflects Typozon's philosophy around craft, passion, and the celebration of imperfection in a world that strives for perfection.
The back reads "curious", also set in Chosmos, with another quote underneath: "Every time I think I've figured life out, it giggles and rearranges the furniture." This speaks to the idea that approaching life with curiosity is always a win—even if things get messy or difficult, we learn and grow along the rougher path. Life is too short to play it safe.
The overall piece is a reflection on the process of learning and the beauty found in the uncomfortable and imperfect.
